Meet the Team...
Gemma started ballet and tap aged four and moved onto competitive freestyle at seven years old. She completed all of ISTD and IDTA freestyle medal awards, obtaining the highest award of honours and whilst competing won 2nd place in the world championship Girl Girl under 16 freestyle rock and roll. During this time she also developed a passion for musical theatre, playing Serena in Fame and an ensemble member in various other productions.
At 18 she studied Dance Theatre at Plymouth University and graduated with a 2:1. Whilst studying, she starred in two music videos for a local artist, ‘Dirty Angel’ in 2009 and ‘Bleed me a river’ in 2013. In 2012 she also performed as the principal and sole dancer in a short musical film called ‘Metanoia’. Gemma attended Ballare School of Performing Arts from 2010, studying Ballet, Contemporary, Street Dance, Tap, Jazz and Modern to further her training. She then went on to work for Ballare in 2014, teaching all styles of dance, and choreographed their show ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow’.
Gemma met Nic and Kate when she choreographed their production of Bugsy Malone. She continued to work with Nic and Kate, joining ‘team Early Energy’ as director of the new dance ensemble
